A solid all-round performance from our Lightning U15 Girls saw us claim a convincing win away at Eccleshall/Little Stoke.

Bowling first, we made early breakthroughs – Ella bowled D Johnson, and Pippa took a sharp caught-and-bowled to remove B Page. We took our chances in the field, with Naveah and Issy both effecting run outs, while Caity bowled top-scorer K Compton. Eccleshall/Little Stoke were restricted to 88-5 from their 20 overs.

Chasing 89, we got off to a positive start thanks to a confident innings from Ella, who played some lovely shots on her way to 17 from 23 balls before being caught by B Page off I Reeves. From there, Issy took control, smashing a superb 51 from just 36 balls with 8 boundaries before retiring not out. Pippa Leighton (5 off 3)* helped finish the chase as we crossed the line inside 10 overs.
