Wow!… the girls got their U15 T20 season off to a brilliant start last night with a confident win away at Allscott Heath in the Staffordshire Girls League.
Batting first, the team showed real positivity and intent. Maddie played an outstanding innings, scoring 103* from just 49 balls, and was supported superbly by Kiret with 61*. The pair helped set a huge team total of 218 for 3, a fantastic way to start our season.
In the field, despite being a player down due to injury, the girls showed great teamwork, energy and discipline. Allscott Heath were held to 123 for 7.
Ella bowled a brilliant spell (2 for 11 off 3.4 overs), and there were key moments from Pippa, Kiret, Maddie, Izzy.
It was a performance full of positives and the girls should be proud—not just of the result, but of the way they supported each other and played as a team.
Looking ahead, we’re now preparing for our next game this Thursday, at home against Porthill. I’ve spoken with the girls about rotating the batting order each match to make sure everyone gets opportunities to contribute and develop. We want to grow as a team across the season, and this approach will help build confidence and experience throughout the squad.
